Week 37

Hello again. Thought I would give you all a little update. I am 37 weeks now and I go to the Doctor every week now. I am about 1 CM dilated and have been for two weeks now. The doctor thinks we will see a little more activity next week at my 38 week checkup. the babies room is set up and ready to go so we are just waiting for little Kaylee to make her debut. Our plan is to send pictures straight from the delivery room when possible so you all can see her right away. So we will try to keep you all as up to date as possible. Stay tuned!

33 Weeks

I know it has been a while, so here is an update. I am now at 33 weeks. I have gained 22 pounds total and counting. Daniel and I are currently taking a Birthing Class that is helping us to prepare for Kaylee. I have almost got the baby room ready to go, it just needs a few finishing touches. Getting a little slower and a little sorer. Ready for her to be here. I have one more appointment next week and then my Dr. will start checking my cervix every two weeks to monitor my progress. I am pretty sure Grandma Kidd already has her suitecase packed and ready to go. My mom flew in and suprised me to attend my baby shower that was held in Denver today. Here are a few pictures from the shower.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!

We found out yesterday that we are having a little baby girl. She weighes one pound and her heart rate was 159 yesterday and 154 today. I had my regular checkup today and everything was normal. The doctor said everything looked normal on the ultrasound except that the measurements on the ultrasound and the measurement of my belly are around 22 weeks and not 20 weeks, so we are moving my due date up to April 6. I have gained 5 more pounds this month which is what I gained last month, so I am at 124lbs right now which is good. I hope I can keep the same pace. We also found out yesterday that this little girl is very stubborn. Must be the Helbig and Grannemann in her. She wouldn't give us a profile pic and kept hiding feet and hands from the ultrasound tech when she would try to get a good picture. The tech was poking all around on my belly trying to get her to change positions and she wouldn't do it.

Hiking in Keystone

I went for a hike with my friend Denise and her dog Emma. I am not as fast as I used to be but it was still fun to get out and get some fresh air. We were suppose to go snow shoeing, but there wasn't enough snow for snowshoes.

PS. Just saw the New Moon movie and loved it. Not much else to report this week. Feeling great so far.

Restless Night

I am getting really tired of this resteless sleeping habit. I couldn't get comfortable last night for anything. I think I may need 10 pillows of different sizes to stuff here there and younder to get comfortable. Did I mention I almost duct taped a pomeranian to his pillow last night? Long story. We are petsitting a pomeranian for a co-worker of mine and he is driving me crazy! He has this annoying habit of nipping at his pillow when he goes to sleep and Daniel calls him the woodpecker because it is loud. The first two nights he wouldn't lay still, then I figured out he needed his duck baby blanket on the pillow in order to go to sleep. That worked for two more nights. Last night he jumped off the bed twice again and i had to pull him out by his hair and plop him back in bed. I am secretly plotting his death in my head. He is good during the day, it's the nights that we have problems. He is very high maintenance, and Daniel thinks he's gay because he wants to be on his lap all the time. Never a dull moment!

Resurecting the Blog

I know it's been a while, but in light of new developments in our family I have decided to update you all on what is going on. Daniel and I are expecting our first child. I am about 17 weeks pregnant and a lot is changing. this new pregnancy blog is intended to make you laugh because I plan on sharing most of the funny things that happen to me during my pregnancy. My last visit to the Doctor was on November 2nd and I had gained 5 lbs which is good news. The baby's heartrate was 150 BPM. I had to get a blood test taken to test for down syndrom and haven't heard anything. she told me no news was good news. Poor Daniel was fretting about this test for a while. He asked me about 10 times a week when it was and what they were going to do to me. He has relaxed a little since we haven't heard anything. He has also started clearing out the baby room so that we can get it ready to paint. I am regretting my decision to turn the man room into a baby room because the man room is now a man loft complete with two deer heads, a gun safe and places on the wall for an elk head that is on its way and a duck. Really? Do we need this many dead animals in our house? Can't wait for the elk, I am sure Mable will love it. Can you say earplugs? I am now in maternity pants and love them, you can eat and eat and they expand and expand. Every one should get a pair of these for Thanksgiving. Sleeping is getting to be a hassle. I have the tendency to want to sleep on my back, all though I am not suppose to and end up forcing myself to roll. My eating habits have completely changed which is annoying, because I use to eat pretty healthy and now I don't. I am trying though, but it is hard. I will include a list of favorites and not so favorites below for good laughs. Here are some important dates and some funnies.
